Role Description The Event Manager is a part-time, hybrid role based in Waukesha, WI, with a mix of on-site event coordination and off-site catering. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing event operations, supervising service staff, and acts as the primary liaison between the vendors, clients and venue. The role involves confirming menus and room layouts, tracking event changes, and ensuring that all services meet Tuscan Hall’s quality standards. The Event Manager will also assist with venue tours. This role requires evening and weekend availability based on event schedules. May consider adding this position as a salary position as opposed to hourly, if desired by applicant.
Qualifications
- Experience in event execution primarily in a venue or catering environment.
- Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail under tight timelines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients, vendors, and team members.
- Proven customer service skills, with a focus on professionalism, problem solving, and conflict resolution.
- Comfort working on-site during events, including standing for extended periods and assisting with setup tasks as needed.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules.
- Previous experience in catering, food and beverage service, or hospitality is required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications in events or hospitality are a plus.
