Overview: Every Turnberry consultant belongs to a practice, an internal group of consultants and leaders with shared experience and expertise. Each of these practices aligns to one of the core services Turnberry offers to clients. As a Senior IT Project Manager, you will join Turnberry's Business Transformation practice. Turnberry's Business Transformation practice is dedicated to diagnosing and addressing core business challenges including regulatory compliance, full-scale implementation, managing change and driving continuous improvement across transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate projects focused on improving digital imaging workflows, image storage, retrieval capabilities, data exchange, and support technologies across the healthcare enterprise
  • Partner with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders to drive project execution, alignment, and successful delivery of strategic objectives
  • Ideal for a seasoned healthcare IT Project Manager who can effectively bridge clinical and technical teams while leading strategic enterprise imaging initiatives that directly impact patient care and operational excellence
  • Will work closely alongside other Project Managers and Senior Project Management leadership
  • Lead projects of very large size and/or high complexity, and/or multiple projects of mixed complexity levels and sizes
  • May provide support to one or more projects of high complexity as part of a program or portfolio team
  • Manage project with budget responsibility, and may require matrix supervision of staff from other IT departments and divisions, and contractor/vendor resources
  • Achieve project objectives and completion on time, on budget, and in conformance to client's enterprise, departmental, and IT methodologies and practices as required
  • Solicit technological input from senior technical resources assigned to their project team(s), and facilitate technology problem-solving activities
  • Work directly with institutional committees and oversight bodies to understand priorities, develop project action plans, facilitate approvals, and work across organizational boundaries to develop and/or implement project proposals that meet the objectives of those groups
  • Support strategic planning and execution of multi-year initiatives that may involve multiple inter-relationships and complexities, requiring the development and execution of complex communication and management plans to achieve
  • Make judgments and take any reasonable action required to accomplish agreed to project objectives under general guidance
  • Serve as subject matter expert regarding both departmental and institutional project management practices, methods and standards
  • Lead the ongoing adoption and continued evolution of a Project Focused Culture within the Information Technology department
  • Manage multiple competing objectives and communicate complex technical information in clear and unambiguous terms to management and end user personnel
  • Strictly adhere to budget management and guidelines of both the Information Technology department and the institution
  • Perform additional job-related functions as detailed by immediate supervisor
  • Lead projects of very large size and/or high complexity, and/or multiple projects of mixed complexity levels and sizes

  • Lead complex enterprise-wide clinical imaging initiatives from planning through implementation
  • Manage project scope, timelines, risks, issues, dependencies, budgets, and stakeholder communications
  • Partner with clinical leaders, operational teams, IT teams, and executive stakeholders to ensure project success
  • Coordinate efforts across multiple workstreams and project teams within the Clinical Management Practice
  • Support initiatives related to image capture, storage, retrieval, interoperability, and workflow optimization
  • Facilitate communication between business, clinical, and technical teams to ensure alignment on project objectives and deliverables
  • Provide project governance, status reporting, and executive-level updates
  • Collaborate with other Project Managers and Senior Project Managers supporting related initiatives

Qualifications

  • Education
    • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 10 years of experience managing projects ranging from simple to difficult complexity while demonstrating increasing scope and depth of responsibilities, and involving multiple technological environments and/or business areas that IT supports, with demonstrated competency in the application of PMI Process Groups and Knowledge Areas
      • OR
    • Master’s Degree with a minimum of 7 years of experience managing projects involving Information Technology and/or Healthcare disciplines, ranging from simple to difficult complexity while demonstrating increasing scope and depth of responsibilities, and involving multiple technological environments and/or business areas that IT supports, with demonstrated competency in the application of the PMI Process Groups and Knowledge Areas
  • PMP certification required
  • 7 years of IT Project Management experience leading complex enterprise initiatives
  • Healthcare IT experience, preferably within a large healthcare system, academic medical center, or integrated healthcare organization
  • Strong experience partnering with healthcare leaders and clinical stakeholders
  • Demonstrated executive presence with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Experience managing projects involving clinical imaging, healthcare interoperability, or related technologies
  • Strong knowledge of DICOM standards and digital imaging workflows
  • Experience with HL7 messaging and healthcare data exchange
  • Familiarity with image retrieval, storage, and interoperability solutions
  • Proven ability to manage project lifecycles while aligning with organizational governance and management frameworks
  • Strong stakeholder management, risk management, and cross-functional leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Epic, particularly data exchange, interfaces, interoperability, and integration efforts
  • Background in healthcare analytics, reporting, or data-driven decision-making
  • Experience supporting radiology, imaging services, or patient care environments involving image capture and management
  • Previous client experience
  • Experience with enterprise imaging platforms and clinical image repositories
  • Residence within driving distance of Rochester, MN
  • Experience leading large-scale digital transformation or clinical technology modernization initiatives
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture, healthcare integrations, and interoperability frameworks

The salary range for this role is $105,000 to $150,000 or the hourly equivalent.
