Responsibilities
- Self-manage multiple tasks simultaneously across various job assignments
- Maintain accurate ticket status, work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, with strict deadlines
- Execute work on live customer circuits with skillset to avoid workman caused outages
- Work in a 24/7 on-call rotation as needed to support trouble tickets and break/fix as we support at a Tier 4 level
- Design, build, configure, and manage the installation/deployment of the optical network including infrastructure, hardware setup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and decommissioning old gear as we're in a constant upgrade cycle
- Experience: 5 years of experience in Optical Transport Deployment
- Experience with an optical network provider, or vendor acting in an operations or engineering role
- Experience in building optical networking infrastructure and/or optical networking equipment/systems
- 3 years of experience with the operation, administration, and maintenance of Optical transport networks
- Primary equipment includes Nokia PSS, CISCO NCS2015, Ciena 6500
- Ability to receive complex work packages/network designs via workflow tool, interpret the request, execute the tasks to include: complete accurate impact statements and build Change Requests that include a detailed MOP
- Experience with routing protocols, optical transport systems, provisioning and troubleshoot above noted equipment with various common service configurations
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, a related field or equivalent experience
- Technical Skills: strong familiarity with OTN, SONET, DWDM
- Skills: English communication skills
- CCNP along with OCP, NONC or other industry-specific optical certifications
- Strong knowledge of one or more: Nokia PSS, CISCO NCS2015, Ciena 6500
- Optical migrations experience

Salary : $80,000 - $115,000
