About The Role
We’re looking for a highly organized and personable People Operations Coordinator to support the People function at Turn/River, which spans both Talent Acquisition and Talent Development. This is an in-person role based in our San Francisco office, ideal for someone who is excited to be at the center of a fast-paced team focused on driving culture, hiring, and employee development. You’ll be a visible point of contact for candidates, employees, and leaders across the firm, and we’ll look to you to bring good judgment, professionalism, and discretion to every interaction.
This role is split between executive support, candidate coordination, and employee experience. Reporting to the VP, People, you’ll work closely with the VP, People and the broader People & Talent team to help keep everything running smoothly. This includes scheduling interviews and welcoming candidates, organizing onboarding & training sessions, and helping with team offsites. Key Responsibilities
- Manage calendar and project logistics for the VP, People
- Coordinate scheduling and communications across the Talent Acquisition and Talent Development teams, ensuring interviews, debriefs, live sessions, and programs stay on track
- Maintain shared calendars, trackers, timelines, and documentation for People programs and initiatives
- Serve as the in-person point of contact for onsite interviews—greeting and guiding candidates, keeping interviews on time, and creating a polished, welcoming atmosphere
- Coordinate and help execute a broad range of People initiatives including onboarding, learning sessions, trainings, bootcamps, performance reviews, our swag program, and offsites
- Own live logistics for People programs: scheduling, room setup, attendee communication, materials, catering, and follow-ups
- Track participation and feedback from key programs to inform continuous improvements
- Communicate regularly with recruiters, candidates, employees, and hiring teams to ensure alignment, responsiveness, and clarity throughout the candidate and employee lifecycle
- Organize and maintain People systems and documentation hubs such as shared Google folders/drives, internal wiki, trackers, HR and recruiting platforms
- Represent the People team with professionalism, approachability, and a service-oriented mindset in this highly visible, cross-functional role
- 1-3 years of experience in a fast-paced, professional setting (bonus for experience in administrative or coordination roles)
- Exceptionally organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Clear, professional communicator with a high EQ and positive attitude
- Comfortable juggling multiple priorities and shifting gears quickly
- Proficient in tools like Slack, Google Workspace, Excel, and people & recruiting software (bonus: familiarity with an ATS like Greenhouse and a performance review tool)
- Excited to learn and grow in a People/HR/Talent role
- Able to work in the San Francisco office Tuesday - Thursday

- The annual base salary for this role is $112,500 taking into account numerous variable factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and organizational requirements.
