Duties
- Perform lawn care tasks including mowing, edging, trimming shrubs to keep turf healthy and lush
- Maintain landscape features by pruning trees and shrubs, trimming hedges, and performing tree care including trimming and removal when necessary
- Operate hand tools and power tools such as trimmers, blowers, shovels, and excavators to complete various landscaping projects
- Install and maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants and turf
- Assist with hardscape projects including the installation of patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures
- Conduct seasonal snow plowing to ensure safe access during winter months
- Support construction activities related to landscape installation and maintenance projects
Experience
- Prior experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, or related outdoor work is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with landscaping equipment such as excavators and power tools is advantageous
- Basic understanding of horticulture principles and lawn care techniques
- Ability to operate hand tools safely and efficiently in various weather conditions
- Knowledge of tree care practices including trimming and health assessment is a plus
- Experience with irrigation systems or snow plowing equipment is beneficial but not mandatory
- Strong work ethic with a focus on safety, teamwork, and attention to detail
