The Operations Supervisor I oversees the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of the department. This position manages all budgetary matters, including overseeing both restricted and unrestricted ledgers in the departmental budget and forecasting expenditures. This position may supervise staff and student employees, handle administrative elements of recruitment and training, and manage purchasing and records. This position coordinates resources, facilities, financial needs, marketing and communications. This position coordinates events and programs as needed, and processes payments and reimbursements. This position acts as a liaison to department leadership and other university academic and administrative units, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to university policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
- Ability to supervise employees and students.
- Ability to communicate effectively between department and other university units.
- Must be highly organized and self-motivated, able to work independently.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software and Tulane systems: Banner, TAMS, HCM, Kronos, Cognos, Concur, E-IT, Interfolio .
- Expert in time management and flexibility with multiple demands.
- Willingness to work irregular hours for events.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to adapt to new software, digital media, and on-line systems.
Required Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- 3 years of administrative, financial, and personnel management experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Experience in an academic setting, working with students, faculty, and other members of the university community.
- Previous managerial experience.
