Job Description
Works in partnership with staff members of the SOM Communications and Marketing Department to manage administrative, operational, and financial aspects of the communications and marketing activities for the School of Medicine. Oversees the daily administrative operations of the office, which include but are not limited to: coordination of meetings and schedules, organizing and coordinating seminars and events, correspondence with potential and current external and internal partners; database strategy and integrity, project management and prioritization, contract management, reimbursements and finances; and assistance in social media and other communications areas.

Responsibilities
- Working knowledge of project management principles and methodologies.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines with moderate supervision.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent productivity tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and functional areas.
- Ability to manage finances/budget and contracts.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and two years of directly related experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Tulane University systems such as Concur, WaveWorks HCM/ERP, etc.
- Experience in a higher education, healthcare, or other complex institutional environment.
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Asana, MS Project).
- Advanced Degree (MBA, MHA, MA, MS, etc.)
