Director of Ecommerce

Tuff Jug | Nampa, Idaho | Full-Time, On-Site

Compensation: $110,000–$130,000 base salary performance-based bonus. OTE $140-$190,000

The Opportunity

We are seeking a proven ecommerce leader to take full ownership of our direct-to-consumer business and drive profitable growth. This is an on-site leadership role at our Nampa headquarters, reporting directly to the CEO and collaborating closely with sales, manufacturing, product development, and operations. You will oversee Shopify Plus, paid acquisition, retention, conversion optimization, Amazon, and overall ecommerce performance. This is not simply a website management or agency coordination role.

Key Responsibilities:

Ecommerce Strategy & Growth

·      Own ecommerce revenue targets, growth strategy, forecasting, budgets, and contribution profitability.

·      Improve customer acquisition, conversion, average order value, retention, and lifetime value.

·      Build clear performance reporting and identify scalable growth opportunities.

Paid Advertising & Acquisition

·      Lead Meta, Google, and other relevant paid media strategies and budgets.

·      Manage agencies, creative testing, and acquisition efficiency using CAC, MER, ROAS, and contribution margin.

Website & Conversion

·      Own Shopify Plus merchandising, product pages, landing pages, and checkout performance.

·      Lead A/B testing, conversion optimization, and website development priorities.

Retention & Lifecycle Marketing

·      Direct Klaviyo email and SMS strategy, segmentation, campaigns, and automation.

·      Hold external partners accountable for repeat purchase and customer lifetime value results.

Promotions & Product Launches

·      Own the promotional calendar, product launches, bundles, upsells, and cross-sells.

·      Coordinate marketing with inventory, manufacturing, and sales priorities.

Amazon & Marketplace

·      Lead Amazon merchandising, advertising, growth, and profitability.

·      Evaluate additional marketplace opportunities while protecting margins and brand positioning.

Leadership & Accountability

·      Manage agency relationships and establish measurable expectations.

·      Build internal ecommerce capabilities as the company grows; communicate performance directly to the CEO.

Required Qualifications

·      5 years of progressive ecommerce experience, including leadership responsibility.

·      Demonstrated success scaling a DTC ecommerce brand and managing multimillion-dollar ecommerce revenue.

·      Strong experience with paid advertising, Shopify, ecommerce analytics, and customer acquisition economics.

·      Experience managing substantial marketing budgets and external partners.

·      Ability to manage for profitability, not simply revenue; strong communication and ownership.

Preferred Qualifications

·      Experience with a $10M–$30M DTC business.

·      Consumer products, automotive, powersports, or outdoor industry experience.

·      Klaviyo, Amazon Seller Central, and high-growth founder-led company experience.

·      Experience building teams and executing product launches.

Compensation

·      $110,000–$130,000 base salary, depending on qualifications and experience.

·      Target performance bonus of 35–50% of base salary, based on agreed objectives.
