The Business Development Representative, East is responsible for driving new customer acquisition and growing revenue across assigned industries within the eastern United States. This role focuses on outbound and inbound business development, relationship building, and opportunity management while working closely with internal teams to deliver a high level of customer experience. This position is a quota carrying role measured on quarterly revenue performance and pipeline execution.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Achieve individual quarterly revenue targets across assigned industries
- Execute outbound and inbound sales activities to qualify leads, generate opportunities, and close new customers
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers to expand product mix and long term account value
- Support reseller relationships through product education, merchandising support, and coordinated sales efforts
- Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and in person customer visits as needed
- Assist with trade shows, industry events, and companywide sales initiatives
- Maintain strong product knowledge and continuously improve understanding of competitive solutions
- Coordinate closely with the operations team on estimates, orders, logo orders, and fulfillment needs
- Accurately manage leads, opportunities, accounts, and customer activity in Salesforce
Success Metrics
- Quarterly revenue attainment versus individual quota
- New customer acquisition and conversion rate
- Opportunity creation and pipeline quality
- Expansion of product mix within existing accounts
- Salesforce data accuracy and activity tracking
Qualifications
- Experience in B2B sales, business development, or account management
- Strong outbound prospecting and lead qualification skills
- Ability to build trust and long term relationships with professional buyers and decision makers
- Comfortable conducting in person customer meetings and presentations
- Highly organized with strong follow up and time management skills
- Experience using CRM systems, Salesforce preferred
- Willingness to travel within assigned territory as needed
- Experience leading small teams and managing cross-functional responsibilities with limited resources.
- Solid financial and practical understanding of P&L, cash flow, and inventory management.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Comfortable using CRM, financial systems, and operational tools (e.g., Salesforce, QuickBooks).
Salary : $60,000 - $70,000
