Board Certified Behavior Analyst (Effective 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR)
SUMMARY
In general direction, incumbent is a school professional designated to work with school teams for behavioral and instructional support to maximize student achievement and social emotional growth. The role of the behavior specialist is to affect behavior change and provide systemic training, support, and oversight in the implementation of behavior strategies and intervention plans.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Valid Arizona teaching certificate
- Completion of a BCBA approved course sequence in applied behavior analysis.
- Recent graduate of an ABA Masters or BCBA certificate program with an exam test date within three months of application
- BCBA or BCaBA required
- Five years experience with school age children.
- Two years working with students with behavioral needs.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid Arizona special education teaching certificate
- Board Certification through the Board Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Special Education or related field
- Teaching experience in general education and special education classrooms
- Two years of experience as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
COMMENTS
Salary Range $62,155.70 to $71,677.94
Effective: 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR
LOCATION: Exceptional Education Department - Sites Vary
FTE : 1.0 - 7.5 hours per day
Work Calendar: 9.5 month
