Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role (for the right candidate we will consider remote) for a Roofing Estimator, with the position based in Rockwall, TX. The Roofing Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing blueprints, conducting site visits, and collaborating with clients to understand project needs. The role will also involve coordinating with internal teams and suppliers to determine material, labor, and equipment costs, as well as following up on proposals to ensure customer satisfaction and project success.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct on‑site roof inspections, measurements, and assessments.
- Must have working knowledge on how to read roofing Blueprints
- Prepare detailed estimates using Blueprints, AccuLynx, EagleView/QuickMeasure, some Xactimate or similar tools.
- Review drawings and/or scopes of work, to determine material, labor, and equipment requirements.
- Collaborate with sales, project management, and production teams to ensure accurate job costing.
- Prepare proposals, bid packages, and supporting documentation.
- Maintain current knowledge of roofing materials, installation methods, and local code requirements.
- Communicate professionally with homeowners, vendors, and internal teams.
- Track estimate performance, pricing accuracy and win rates.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of roofing estimating experience (residential and commercial).
- Strong understanding of roofing systems (shingle, metal, TPO, modified, coatings).
- Ability to climb roofs and perform physical inspections.
- Proficiency with Blue Prints, AccuLynx, EagleView/Quick Measure, or comparable estimating tools.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Strong math, measurement, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and customer‑facing professionalism.
