HR Coordinator (I-9 & Onboarding Compliance)
San Jose, CA (100% Onsite) | $28.00/hour | 6-Month Contract
Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Our client, a global leader in the technology and manufacturing industry, is seeking a detail-oriented HR Coordinator to support employee onboarding and employment eligibility verification processes. This position is ideal for recent graduates or professionals with administrative, HR, compliance, or operations experience who are looking to build a career in Human Resources.
Responsibilities
- Complete Section 2 of Form I-9 for newly hired employees within required timelines
- Review and verify employment eligibility documentation in accordance with federal regulations
- Accurately enter employee information into HR systems and maintain supporting documentation
- Track I-9 completion and reverification deadlines
- Maintain organized and secure employee records
- Communicate with employees and managers regarding onboarding requirements and pending documentation
- Assist with compliance audits and records management activities
- Support HR Operations with administrative tasks and special projects as needed
- Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive employee information
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; OR
- 1 year of experience in an administrative, HR, legal, compliance, or operations support role
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes accurately
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism
