Business Analyst, Financial Planning Systems III
Location: Milpitas, CA (Open to Remote - Must be PST)
6-Month W2 Assignment (potential to extend / convert)

Job Summary
Our client, a leader in flash memory storage solutions, is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst – Financial Planning Systems to support enterprise-wide forecasting, reporting, and data governance initiatives.
This role partners closely with FP&A, General Ledger Accounting, IT, HR, and cross-functional business teams, with a strong focus on Oracle EPBCS, Oracle DRM, and Smart View. The ideal candidate brings deep financial planning systems expertise and the ability to translate business needs into scalable system and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning Support
- Support enterprise planning processes in Oracle EPBCS, including Spend, Workforce, Capex, Revenue, Gross Margin, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow modules.
- Prepare, validate, and reconcile planning data for monthly and quarterly forecasting cycles.
- Partner with GL Accounting during close to ensure accurate alignment of actuals data.
- Provide global FP&A support for Smart View, forecasting issues, and ad-hoc reporting requests.
Business Analysis & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Translate business requirements into system enhancements and process improvements.
- Work closely with Finance, IT, HR, and business stakeholders to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and alignment across systems.
- Identify opportunities to improve forecasting efficiency, reporting quality, and overall data governance.
Systems & Data Governance
- Maintain and enhance Oracle EPBCS applications and planning models.
- Support Oracle DRM and metadata management processes.
- Ensure data integrity, scalability, and compliance across financial planning systems.
- Lead small to medium system enhancements in partnership with Finance and IT teams.
Training & User Support
- Develop and deliver training, documentation, and onboarding materials for global FP&A users.
- Promote best practices and drive adoption of planning tools across the organization.
Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) required, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Information Systems.
- 4 years of experience supporting financial planning and FP&A processes.
- 3 years of hands-on experience with Oracle EPBCS, Oracle DRM, and Smart View.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and accounting principles.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
