Tualatin Hills Parks & Recreation (THPRD) is actively seeking compassionate Inclusion Assistants to join our dynamic team! At THPRD, our Inclusion program is dedicated to empowering individuals of all abilities by promoting the power of choice to enhance their quality of life.
Inclusion Assistants play a pivotal role in our programs by providing invaluable support to individuals with physical, developmental, or emotional disabilities of all ages who participate in THPRD district programs. Typical Hours
Part-time variable: Average anywhere from 2-20 hours per week. Part time staff can work up to 1,560 hours per year.
Typical shift times: Any hours between 7:30am-9:00pm. Scheduling may occur any day of the week and varies based on program needs.

Experience

- Experience providing Inclusion support in a recreational environment
- Direct experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Familiarity with working with individuals displaying challenging behaviors
- Experience with specific areas of recreation is desirable for site-specific placements (e.g., sports, nature programming, general summer camps, etc.)
- A valid Driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Current First Aid & CPR certification (required within 30 days of hire)
- Must be at least 18 years of age on start date
