Entry-Level Personal Trainer or Group Fitness Instructor
THPRD Fitness is currently seeking qualified entry-level Group Fitness Instructors or Personal Trainers to join our team! If you are passionate about fitness and looking for an opportunity to harness your newly certified skills, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity!
As a Group Fitness Instructor, your primary responsibility will be to plan, instruct, and lead various group fitness classes that are in line with your certifications and areas of expertise. Personal Trainers will be primarily responsible for planning and providing personal training services by developing exercise programs for patrons.
Group fitness classes and/or personal training sessions can take place either indoors or outdoors, at our top-notch recreation centers or one of the many beautiful parks in our area. Our sessions and classes are open to the community at large, and we welcome patrons of all ages, abilities, backgrounds, and interests. As a result, we are seeking team members who have the ability to support the individual needs of patrons while also managing group dynamics effectively. Trainers and instructors must be capable of demonstrating safe exercise techniques.
Instructors keep our patrons safe:
- Physically – by gauging and adjusting programming to meet each patron’s ability and skill level
- Mentally – by encouraging and building a positive community with our patrons.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current certification required (AFAA, ACSM, ACE, NASM, ISSA, Zumba®, etc.)
- Current CPR, First Aid, AED certification, or willing to obtain/renew upon hire
- Experience working with a diverse population

- Bilingual: Spanish (pay incentive)

Scheduling
Availability:
- Mornings

Personal trainers are responsible for their own scheduling with clients as they are assigned by the program team. The team anticipates this role to take on 5-10 clients weekly.
Staff are typically scheduled 2 to 29 hours per week; between 6 AM - 9 PM throughout the week, including Saturdays and Sundays. Part-time employees are scheduled variable hours and may work less than 1,508 hours per year or 125 hours per month.
Pay Rate: $26.51
The hiring range for this position is $26.51, based on experience and internal equity. The full hourly range for this job classification is $26.51 to $29.89. Staff may be eligible for a merit increase at the end of September.
