Customer Engagement Assistant III – Conestoga Recreation & Aquatic Center (Bilingual in Spanish)
Tualatin Hills Park and Recreation District (THPRD) is looking for dependable, self-directed staff committed to delivering the best customer service possible at Conestoga Recreation & Aquatic Center.
Position Overview – Customer Engagement Assistant III - Shift Lead
This position plays a key role in supporting daily operations and providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities include greeting the public, registering patrons for classes, checking in drop-in participants, and resolving time-sensitive issues using sound judgment and problem-solving skills, in addition to completing assigned clerical duties.
Pay Rate: $22.21 hourly
This position is eligible for a 5% bilingual pay incentive in addition to hourly rate
The hiring rate for this position is $22.21. The full hourly range for this job classification is $22.21 to $25.04. Staff may be eligible for a merit increase at the end of September.
Schedule & Training Period
The regular shift schedule for this position is expected to be:
- Mondays: 5:15 am – 10:45 am
- Tuesdays: 5:15 am – 10:45 am
- Wednesdays: 5:15 am – 10:45 am
- Fridays: 5:15am – 10:45 am
Candidates can expect to begin working this set schedule in August, following successful completion of training. During the initial training period, team members will work closely with staff to learn front desk operations, procedures, and expectations.
Training will require a flexible schedule and may include morning, midday, and closing shifts to familiarize them with all center operations and provide exposure to multiple shift types. Once training is complete, shifts will transition into early morning working independently, requiring confidence in managing front desk responsibilities.
Job duties may include (but are not limited to):
- Independently open, close and lead the front desk staff
- Greet the public, creating a positive experience for customers through professional and courteous behavior, providing information and assistance regarding schedules, program descriptions and other general district information over the phone and in person
- Answer telephone and direct calls to appropriate personnel and take accurate messages
- Record retention, receipting money, and performing related registration procedures
- Assist with the daily cleaning and sanitization of work and public spaces, equipment and program supplies to maintain the health and safety of all participants and staff

Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age on your first day of work
- Bilingual in English and Spanish required
