The Logistics Coordinator plays a critical role in coordinating and optimizing the scheduling and dispatching of resources to meet service demands efficiently. This position involves effective communication, problem-solving, and ensuring the timely and accurate execution of dispatch activities.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Managing fuel transport drivers’ schedules and routes ensuring compliance with local, state and federal requirements
- Scheduling product to be picked up and delivered
- Serve as central contact point for both fuel transport drivers and customers, coordinating load and unload process
- Manage and monitor customer fuel inventories based on customer defined requirements
- Responsible for multiple trucks, customers, drivers and routes, which requires extreme attention to detail
- Monitor trucks and drivers once they’re enroute, and help if an issue arises with a load or unload
- Monitor email and phones at all times
- Plan resources and be able to forecast at least 7 days out
- Documenting all calls, deliveries, routes and times for pickups and deliveries
- Manage delivery time lines
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 year of relevant work experience
- Familiarity with DOT regulations for the transportation of hazardous materials
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to speak professionally and courteously with customers and staff
- Excellent communication skills to clearly relay information to all involved parties
- Analytical skills to problem-solve and coordinate difficult situations
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong organizational and time management skills

- Work is performed while sitting at a desk and working on a computer for prolonged periods of time.

- Must be able to lift and move up to 20 pounds at a time
