What are the responsibilities and job description for the Freight Billing Analyst position at TTE Texas TransEastern?
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated individual to join our team as a Freight Billing Analyst. This position is located in Pasadena, TX and will be required to work our SUNDAY to THURSDAY schedule, shifts are 8 hours (8AM-5PM) or TUESDAY to SATURDAY schedule, shifts are 8hours (8AM-5PM)
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Accurately input customer freight invoicing data and other relevant information into our databases
- Maintain a minimum count of 150 to 200 freight invoices billed per day
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email in a friendly and professional manner
- Resolve customer issues promptly and effectively, escalating complex cases as needed
- Collaborate with team members to improve data entry processes and customer service protocols
- Maintain confidentiality and security of all customer information
- Resolves minor processing problems; seeking assistance from supervisor or other appropriate staff for issues beyond immediate expertise
- Keep team lead updated about tasks that cannot be completed, trouble tickets, or any issues that occur in general on a daily basis
- Help with other team tasks that may be behind or at risk of falling behind after your own tasks have been completed for the day
- Notify team lead of upcoming days/time off so that they may ensure tasks are taken care of accordingly
- Ask team lead questions on tasks you are unsure of how to do correctly and make good quality notes for yourself to ensure tasks are done correctly going forward
- Provide updates on all assigned tasks directly to the Billing Supervisor when the team’s lead is out of office and not working
- Provide Billing Supervisor with a “Shift Summary” of tasks done and amount of orders billed during working hours daily.
- Performs other related duties, as assigned
Physical Requirements:
- Work is performed while sitting at a desk and working on a computer for prolonged periods of time.
- Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing.
- Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum (1) year customer service experience
- Excellent and precise data entry and typing skills (minimum 30 words per minute)
- Must be good with numbers and basic calculations
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer service, interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Detailed active listening and comprehension skills
- Ability to take strong notes and retain information
- Good organizational habits and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently
- Ability to meet deadlines on a daily basis
- Ability to work calmly under pressure
