What are the responsibilities and job description for the Managing Server- The Coupe position at TRYST TRADING COMPANY?
The Managing Server (MS) performs the primary functions of a Server with additional supervisory and select management duties. An MS is trained to open, close, and Actively Manage the entire restaurant when scheduled as the Manager on Duty (MOD). The list of duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:

Performing duties of the Server;

Ensure staff are performing their respective job duties & tasks;

Assign tasks and sidework to staff as needed;
-
Monitor scheduled staff arrivals and clock in times;
-
Monitor staff performance;
-
Perform comp & void transitions;
-
Address guest concerns/issues;
-
When closing, perform end of day tasks;
-
Prepare alcoholic beverages for Guests and Servers when a Bartender is not present;

Check in vendor orders as needed;
-
Troubleshoot equipment & facilities issues as needed;
-
Assist with staff training;
-
Perform additional tasks as instructed by the GM;

Qualifications:
-
Must be 21 years or older.
-
Must have worked as a Server a minimum of 1 year.

Has performed exceptionally as a Server and has proven abilities in the following areas:
-
Mastered the use of POS System;
-
Able to effectively and efficiently handle large sections;
-
Is fast, efficient and organized;
-
Has exceptional menu and product knowledge;
-
Has exceptional interpersonal and communication skills;
-

Must be available and committed to working a Full Time (min of 30 hours per week) schedule.

Must be eligible to obtain an ABRA Manager’s License & Food Handler’s License.

Must be organized and able to multitask.

Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

Must work well under pressure.

Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
-
Strong oral and written communication skills in English are required.
-
Computer proficiency required.
-
Previous supervisory experience is a big plus.
