Location: Los Angeles, CA, United States - Local Candidates Only
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 4:30 PM (Alternating Fridays Off)

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced SQL Server Database Administrator to support our client’s enterprise systems, databases, web applications, and security infrastructure. This role requires expert knowledge of Microsoft server environments, SQL Server administration, SharePoint, IIS/Apache, and Linux/Unix systems.
This is a temporary contract role with high technical depth and significant responsibilities in system optimization, troubleshooting, and implementation.
Key Responsibilities
System Administration
- Provide advanced troubleshooting, monitoring, performance tuning, and configuration management.
- Assist with system upgrades, patches, and change control.
- Support design and implementation of systems architecture.
- Execute disaster recovery plans and maintain documentation.
- Participate in cross-functional technical projects.
Database & Web Administration
- Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server, IIS, Apache Tomcat, and related components.
- Troubleshoot and debug enterprise-level database and web issues.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, standards, and DR procedures.
- Research and evaluate emerging database and web technologies.
- Support multi-tier applications, websites, and SharePoint environments.
Security Administration
- Plan and implement security access, controls, and configurations.
- Conduct security analysis, audit support, diagnosis, and remediation.
- Monitor, investigate, and document cybersecurity events.
- Develop and execute security-focused disaster recovery strategies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 4 years of relevant experience; OR
- Master’s degree with 2 years of relevant experience.
- Experience administering and troubleshooting:
- Microsoft Windows Server 2012
- SQL Server 2012
- Microsoft SharePoint
- IIS, Apache, and Linux/Unix servers
- Enterprise multi-tier applications
- Strong understanding of database management, web administration, and security practices.
