Position Title: Cook II
Location: Glasgow, KY, 42142
Duration: Open-ended
Work Schedule: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM (5 days/every other weekend) you will only be scheduled to work 5 total days in a work week Sunday – Saturday.
Pay rate: $14.39
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
- Performs routine work in preparing and serving food in an institutional nursing facility.
- Bakes, roasts, broils and fries' meat, fish and fowl in the dietary department for Glasgow State Nursing Facility.
- Mixes and cooks' specialty dishes and delicate foods.
- Monitors the work of other dietary staff.
- Prepares, seasons and cooks' food for residents, employees, and visitors.
- Modifies diets, trims and cuts meat, fish and fowl following recipes and any physicians' orders provided by dietician.
- Performs taste and smell test and adjusts cooking temperatures, seasoning food by taste test and recipe.
- Inspects food in storage for spoilage/expiration date.
- Assures sanitary storage and maintains kitchen utensils.
