What are the responsibilities and job description for the Litigation Paralegal position at Trustpoint.One?
Trustpoint is proud to partner with a general practice law firm in their search for a full-time Class Action Paralegal to join the team onsite in Minneapolis. This is a newly created position due to rapid practice growth. The class action group currently consists of six attorneys, one paralegal, and one legal administrative assistant. The selected candidate will step into a collaborative environment with the opportunity to directly support active national class and collective action matters. Candidates with prior class action experience are strongly encouraged to apply; however, those with complex civil litigation experience who are eager to learn are also welcome.
Responsibilities:
- Provide case administration support for class and collective action matters, including client intake and ongoing client communication.
- Open new matters, maintain and update case status and tracking spreadsheets.
- Assist with attorney admissions, including drafting and filing pro hac vice applications.
- Manage docketing and calendaring deadlines across multiple jurisdictions.
- Organize discovery and maintain document management workflows in firm systems.
- Prepare and finalize pleadings, including tables of contents and authorities.
- Coordinate electronic filing in federal and state courts.
- Arrange document execution via DocuSign and manage service of pleadings and notices.
- Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, co-counsel, and internal team members.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of complex litigation experience required; prior class or collective action experience strongly preferred.
- Candidates with complex civil litigation experience and strong learning agility will also be considered.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort working in document management platforms.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Team-oriented with the ability to work independently as needed.
- Must be able to work onsite in Minneapolis.
Compensation is dependent upon experience and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
