Legal Intake Client Sign-Up Specialist
Location: Newark, NJ (Onsite)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
Compensation: $52,500–$75,000 annually, commensurate with experience and education
Additional Incentives: Bonus program of up to $900 bi-weekly based on internal performance metrics

Trustpoint is excited to partner with a leading legal services organization in their search for a Legal Intake Client Sign-Up Specialist. This full-time, direct hire role is fully onsite in Newark, NJ. The Intake Specialist will serve as the first point of contact for individuals seeking legal representation—managing inbound inquiries through phone, email, web form, and live chat—and guiding prospective clients through the intake and retainer agreement sign-up process with professionalism, efficiency, and empathy.
Responsibilities
- Deliver professional, empathetic, and client-centered service during all initial interactions
- Initiate and complete the full intake process, including assisting clients with signing retainer agreements
- Collect detailed and accurate information to qualify claims and confirm eligibility
- Maintain exceptional accuracy when entering and managing client and claim data
- Clearly explain next steps and transition clients to case managers, paralegals, or attorneys
- Handle a high volume of inquiries while maintaining urgency, attention to detail, and service excellence
Qualifications
- Prior sales or customer service experience, with the ability to guide clients through the sign-up process
- Professional telephone manner and strong verbal communication skills
- Excellent written communication, including grammar and punctuation
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with attorneys, paralegals, and administrative staff
- High emotional intelligence, including empathy, patience, and situational awareness
- Adaptability in a dynamic, high-volume environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a law firm or legal setting will truly set you apart
- Experience in a sales or sign-up center
- Contact center or call center experience
- Background in a law firm or legal services setting
- Experience in insurance, healthcare, or medical administration
- Familiarity with CRM systems (including Salesforce), VoIP platforms, and e-signature tools
- College degree
- Bilingual skills a plus (Spanish preferred)
