Trustpoint is excited to partner with a legal services organization in their search for a Claims Coordinator. This direct hire role is onsite in Newark, NJ, Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with parking or commuter benefit reimbursement provided. The Claims Coordinator serves as a key point of contact for existing claimants, confirming and verifying claim information, answering additional questions, and ensuring each interaction is professional, empathetic, and efficient. This role is critical in moving claims forward and providing a high-quality client experience, while supporting attorneys, paralegals, and the case management team.
Responsibilities
- Deliver professional and empathetic service during client interactions, ensuring clients feel heard and supported
- Confirm and verify all detailed claim information while collecting additional claim-related information with precision
- Monitor and maintain quality assurance standards for all claim interactions and documentation
- Approach every interaction with urgency, attention to detail, and service excellence
- Clearly explain next steps and transition clients to the Case Management team, including paralegals and attorneys
Qualifications
- Customer service experience, with the ability to assist clients in moving their claims forward
- Professional telephone etiquette with clear, courteous, and informative communication
- Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills and active listening
- Excellent written communication, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation
- Strong organizational skills, time management, and task prioritization
- Comfortable managing multiple inquiries and tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with attorneys, paralegals, and administrative staff
- Adaptability in a dynamic, fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong emotional intelligence, including empathy, self-awareness, and social skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Law firm or legal industry experience
- Insurance, healthcare, or medical administration experience
- Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce), VoIP platforms, and electronic signature tools
- Contact center or call center experience
- College degree preferred but not required
- Bilingual abilities a plus
