Overview
Our client, a highly regarded national law firm, is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join its Philadelphia office. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside top-tier attorneys on complex, high-exposure matters in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. The firm offers a hybrid work schedule, strong compensation, and a performance-based bonus structure.
Key Responsibilities
- Support litigation attorneys in all phases of the litigation lifecycle, from inception through trial and appeal
- Draft, review, and file legal documents including pleadings, discovery requests/responses, motions, subpoenas, and correspondence
- Manage case files, including document organization, indexing, and maintenance (both electronic and hard copy)
- Coordinate and assist with discovery, including document review, production, and e-discovery processes
- Conduct legal, factual, and background research
- Prepare deposition materials, witness files, and trial binders
- Assist attorneys during depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials as needed
- Manage deadlines and maintain litigation calendars to ensure compliance with court rules and scheduling orders
- Communicate with clients, experts, court personnel, and opposing counsel as appropriate
Qualifications
- Required: Prior experience supporting litigation attorneys in either plaintiff and/or defense litigation in larger firm environments
- 3 years of litigation paralegal experience in a law firm setting (mid to large firm experience preferred)
- Strong understanding of federal and state court rules, particularly Pennsylvania courts
- Experience with e-discovery platforms and document management systems
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with litigation support software is a plus
- Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience preferred
Salary : $80,000 - $105,000
