Claims Investigator
Newark, NJ (Gateway Center – Newark Penn Station) | Direct Hire | Fully Onsite
Compensation: $50,000–$55,000 Annually, Depending on Experience

Trustpoint.One is partnering with a rapidly growing legal support services organization in its search for a Claims Investigator to join its Newark, NJ office. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team that was launched by an established and highly successful claims-focused legal practice and has experienced tremendous growth since its inception.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys investigative work, medical record analysis, and claimant interaction. The Claims Investigator serves as a critical first line of review, ensuring claims are properly vetted and advanced through the pre-litigation process.
What You'll Do:
- Review and evaluate initial claim intake information to determine claim viability
- Investigate claims involving defective drugs, medical devices, environmental contamination, and personal injury matters
- Conduct pre-litigation investigative work, including fact gathering and claim development
- Order, organize, and review medical records
- Analyze medical documentation and identify relevant case information
- Draft correspondence and assist with pre-litigation claim management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for claimants throughout the investigative process
- Maintain accurate claim updates and documentation
- Move qualified claims through the workflow before transfer to Case Managers
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures, timelines, and quality standards
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Prior medical record review experience is required
- Strong analytical and investigative skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Experience working in a law firm, legal services, insurance, healthcare, or claims environment is highly preferred
- Ability to manage a high-volume workload while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong client service and relationship management skills
- Spanish language proficiency is highly desirable
Schedule:
- Fully onsite position
- Monday through Friday
- 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- One-hour lunch break
- Up to 5 hours of pre-approved overtime available each week
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base salary of $50,000–$55,000, depending on experience
- Additional $3,000 annual compensation for Spanish-speaking candidates
- Bi-weekly performance bonus program
- Bonus potential up to $900 per pay period
- Bonus metrics include:
- Positive client feedback
- Productivity and diligence goals
- KPI achievement
- During the initial 90-day introductory period, earned bonuses are accrued and paid at the completion of the probationary period
- After one month of employment, employees receive a $245 monthly parking/transit allowance to help offset commuting expenses

Physical Requirements
