Claims Coordinator
Location: Newark, NJ (Onsite)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
Compensation: $52,500–$60,000 annually, commensurate with experience and education
Additional Incentives: Bonus program of up to $900 bi-weekly based on internal performance metrics

Trustpoint is excited to partner with a legal services organization in their search for a Claims Coordinator. This direct hire, full-time role is fully onsite in Newark, NJ. The Claims Coordinator is a vital part of the client experience—serving as a primary point of contact for existing claimants, verifying claim information, addressing questions, and helping ensure claims progress efficiently. This role supports attorneys, paralegals, and the case management team while delivering a professional, empathetic, and client-centered experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional, empathetic support during client conversations to ensure claimants feel heard and assisted
- Confirm and verify detailed claim information while gathering additional required data with accuracy
- Maintain quality assurance standards across all claim interactions, documentation, and communications
- Handle each inquiry with urgency, attention to detail, and a commitment to service excellence
- Explain next steps clearly and transition clients to the appropriate Case Management team member, including paralegals and attorneys
Qualifications
- Customer service experience with the ability to guide clients through claim-related processes
- Professional telephone etiquette with clear, courteous, and informative communication
- Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills, including active listening
- Excellent written communication, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to multitask
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with attorneys, paralegals, and administrative staff
- Adaptability within a fast-paced, high-volume, and evolving environment
- Strong emotional intelligence, including empathy, self-awareness, and sound judgment
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a law firm or legal services environment
- Background in insurance, healthcare, or medical administration
- Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce), VoIP platforms, and e-signature tools
- Contact center or call center experience
- College degree preferred but not required
- Bilingual skills a plus
