Job Title: Trusts & Estates Paralegal
Salary Range: $80,000 – $115,000 (commensurate with experience)
Location: Hybrid – 3 days in office (Tuesdays and Thursdays are mandatory anchor days)
Work Schedule: Full-time
The Opportunity:
Trustpoint.One is partnering with a prestigious Am Law 100 firm in its search for an experienced Trusts & Estates Paralegal to join its nationally recognized Private Client Services team. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside top attorneys and professionals, assisting in all phases of trust and estate administration for a sophisticated and diverse client base.
The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience in trusts and estates administration, possess a high degree of professionalism, and demonstrate the ability to manage confidential information with discretion. Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for personal representatives, beneficiaries, financial advisors, and accountants.
- Manage day-to-day estate administration, including coordinating probate of wills and appointment of personal representatives.
- Collect, value, and manage estate assets; arrange for payment of debts and expenses.
- Prepare and file Federal and State estate and inheritance tax returns.
- Coordinate with accountants for preparation of income and fiduciary returns, and facilitate tax payments and beneficiary distributions.
- Terminate estates and prepare fiduciary accountings with moderate attorney supervision.
- Prepare Federal gift tax returns.
- Coordinate the delivery of family office services in partnership with the firm’s integrated HomeBase team to ensure a customized client experience.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a legal environment, specifically in trusts and estates.
- Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certificate required.
- Strong understanding of fiduciary administration and tax processes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel) and familiarity with advanced accounting functions.
- Experience with Trustdesk preferred.
- Familiarity with OneSource tax preparation software is a plus.
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong interpersonal and client service skills, with the ability to build rapport and maintain confidentiality.
- Motivated self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
