This role is responsible for benefits administration and leave management, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws across multiple states. The HR Generalist supports onboarding and offboarding, employee records management, policy administration, and routine employee relations matters, while providing consistent, responsive support to leaders and employees. Operating with a high level of discretion and attention to detail, the HR Generalist helps ensure accurate execution of HR processes, promotes positive employee experience, and supports organizational compliance and operational effectiveness.

- Reinforce core values and consistent HR Benefits & Leave Administration
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee relations, responding to HR inquiries and supporting performance management and disciplinary processes, including investigating and resolving workplace issues and conflicts
- Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, terminations, and vendor coordination
- Oversee all employee leave management (FMLA, state-specific leave, PTO, ADA accommodations), ensuring compliance and accurate tracking
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws; maintain accurate employee records and personnel files
- Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining HR policies, procedures, and handbooks
- Support audits, surveys, and regulatory reviews; prepare documentation and corrective action plans as needed
- Maintain and update HRIS data; generate HR reports and track workforce metrics
- Partner with leadership and managers to support workforce planning, employee engagement, and organizational initiatives
- Support HR projects and day-to-day operations to ensure efficient, consistent HR service delivery
- Supports organizational initiatives and change management
- Maintains employee files, records, and HR documentation
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field
- HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred, especially in complex or multi-state environments
- Demonstrated experience as an HR Generalist supporting multiple areas of HR, including onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, leave management, and offboarding
- Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws, including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, Title VII, COBRA, and HIPAA
- Experience supporting multi‑state HR compliance, including wage & hour laws and state‑specific paid leave requirements
- Proven ability to manage end‑to‑end leave administration, including FMLA, state paid leave programs, ADA accommodations, and military leave
- Hands‑on experience administering employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement plans
- Strong administrative and documentation skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficiency with HRIS and payroll systems (e.g., Paycor, ADP, Paycom, UKG or similar platforms)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and apply sound judgment when handling sensitive employee matters
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain HR policies and procedures
- Excellent organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines
- Familiarity with structured operating systems (e.g., EOS)
