Shipping Specialist

Pay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour

Location: Sunrise, FL

Hours: 9am-6pm (Mon-Fri)

Position Summary

The Shipping & Packaging Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring that TruPharmaRX's compounded medications are accurately packaged, properly labeled, and shipped safely and efficiently to patients and facilities. This full-time position supports daily shipping operations and reports to the Lead Shipping Specialist. The role requires strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment to ensure timely and compliant delivery of medications.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare and package compounded patient medications for shipment via FedEx in accordance with pharmacy procedures and client requirements.
• Prepare patient medications for in-person pickup as needed.
• Custom-package patient medications using client-specific branded materials and packaging requirements.
• Accurately differentiate packaging for refrigerated versus non-refrigerated products to maintain product integrity.
• Scan shipments and communicate tracking information to patients through the customer application as appropriate.
• Monitor FedEx tracking for patient and facility shipments and follow up on delivery issues when necessary.
• Escalate shipping issues, delays, or discrepancies to leadership as appropriate.
• Maintain, organize, and file packing lists and shipping documentation.
• Order, track, and maintain adequate inventory of shipping supplies and packaging materials.
• Manage branded packaging inventory and communicate replenishment needs with internal teams and clients.
• Assist other departments, including marketing, customer service, data entry, and lab operations, with small projects as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
• Participate in required training sessions and compliance education.
• Perform other duties as necessary to support the overall functionality and success of TruPharmaRX.

Experience and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with and familiarity using FedEx shipping processes preferred.
• Ability to pass a drug screen, background check, and pre-employment verification.
• Must read, understand, and comply with HIPAA requirements.

Working Conditions

• Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
• Frequent reaching above shoulders, at waist level, and below the knee.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs above shoulder and at waist level.
• Occasional handling of up to 50 lbs ice pack boxes.
