Job Responsibilities
The Residence Hall Director is a full-time, 12-month position responsible for providing leadership and oversight of on-campus residential communities and processes. Hall directors are required to live in an on-campus apartment provided at no cost to the hall director, their spouse, and dependents. Additionally, the Hall Director is provided with a meal plan in order to eat with and connect with students and student staff.
- Management of in-hall student resources.
- Supervising and coordinating hall personnel.
- Implementing a residential curriculum.
- Administering judicial cases.
- Responding to emergency situations while serving in an on-call rotation.
- Promoting strong relationships among hall residents, staff, and other University constituencies.
- Supporting staff development.
- Promoting student learning and development.
- Supporting summer orientation, camps, and conference operations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Anticipated start date of July 1, 2026.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Residence hall and/or student leadership/services experience.
- Demonstrated communication skills.
- Ability to work well with diverse populations and personalities.
- Commitment to student learning and development.
Preferred Qualifications
- Residence life staff experience.
- Experience as a team player.
- Experience as a team builder.
- Mediation or other interpersonal communication experience.
- Presentation skills.
- Demonstrated leadership or supervisory success.

Salary
The salary for this position starts at $32,138 annually. On-campus housing in a two bedroom apartment and an on-campus meal plan are also provided.
