Our client in the Milwaukee area is looking for a Tax Manager. This client is looking for someone with 10 years of tax experience, CPA highly preferred with a desire to own and manage an accounting firm.
The Tax Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and perform detailed reviews of business and individual tax returns
- Deliver proactive tax planning strategies and advice to clients throughout the year
- Oversee monthly bookkeeping activities and ensure accuracy of financial statements
- Cultivate and maintain trusted relationships with clients, providing business advisory support as needed
- Supervise, mentor, and coordinate with team members handling outsourced accounting and bookkeeping projects
- Ad hoc projects as needed.
The Tax Manager will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or closely related field
- 10 years of tax and/or accounting experience.
- CPA – highly preferred
- Desire to own and manage an accounting firm
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
