Property Accountant

Accountant (42280)

Our client is an organization in the Kenosha area looking for an Accountant. This company is looking for someone with 3 years of accounting experience, strong analytic skills and highly organized.

The salary range for this role is $70k-90k.

The Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and maintain monthly financial statements for assigned properties
• Perform general ledger accounting, including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Manage full-cycle accounting for multiple properties, including accruals and adjustments
• Reconcile bank accounts and monitor cash activity
• Analyze variances between actuals and budget; provide explanations to management
• Assist with annual budgets and periodic forecasts for properties
• Work closely with property management teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Review and process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions as needed
• Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation for properties
• Support year-end close and assist with audit requests and documentation
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and company accounting policies

The Accountant will possess the following:

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
• 3 years of accounting experience
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Experience with ERP systems and Excel preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
