Our client is an organization in the Dane County area that’s looking for a Plant Controller. This company is looking for someone with 5 years of experience, excellent leadership skills, and is highly organized. The salary for this job is $110K - $140K.
The Plant Controller will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with operations to oversee cost accounting functions including job costing, variance analysis, and troubleshooting within the ERP system.
- Manage inventory valuation, monitor cycle counts, and oversee standard overhead rates.
- Manage the trial balance, general ledger, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with GAAP.
- Lead period-end, quarterly, and year-end close processes; maintain fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
- Oversee Accounts Receivable collections and timely Accounts Payable processing.
- Perform various financial and non-financial analyses as required.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
The Plant Controller will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent.
- 5 years of experience in Accounting or related field (manufacturing experience preferred), with 1 years of experience in a Supervisory position.
- Proficiency with ERP systems, to include working knowledge of maintenance setup, data input, reporting, and data import/export.
- Excellent Excel Skills.
- Ability to handle frequent interruptions, meet tight deadlines, prioritize tasks, work with minimal direction and handle conflict in a positive manner.
- Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills to work with multiple departments including customer service, accounting, and operations.

Salary : $110,000 - $140,000
