Senior Analyst, FP&A

Our client is a leading provider of cloud-based software serving dealerships and original equipment manufacturers across a variety of equipment-focused industries, with a long history of supporting organizations throughout North America. They are seeking finance talent with experience in SaaS environments who can operate effectively in a data-driven, growth-oriented business. This Senior Analyst, FP&A role partners closely with business leaders to manage operating expenses, optimize spend, support headcount planning, and deliver insights into company performance, market trends, and strategic opportunities to inform decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate operating expenses across multiple functions to support budget compliance.
• Work with functional leaders to assess spending patterns and identify opportunities to improve cost effectiveness.
• Create and maintain financial tracking tools, reporting, and dashboards to monitor spend.
• Provide analytical support for workforce planning efforts, including headcount forecasting, attrition analysis, and labor cost modeling.
• Continuously refine planning methodologies, processes, and systems to improve reliability and scalability.
• Align financial projections with operational assumptions and execution plans.
• Serve as a financial thought partner to business leaders, delivering insights related to performance and key drivers.
• Collaborate across teams to connect financial analysis with day-to-day operational decision-making.
• Drive cross-functional financial analyses in support of business initiatives and strategic priorities.
• Develop scenario-based and long-range financial models to evaluate investments and business outcomes.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in financial planning, analysis, or strategic finance, ideally within a fast-growing or technology-enabled environment.
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with advanced proficiency in Excel and experience using enterprise financial systems and reporting tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline; advanced certifications or graduate degrees are a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to operate as a business partner, building credibility and strong working relationships with cross-functional leaders.
• Ability to influence decision-making by translating financial analysis into clear, actionable recommendations.
• Excellent communication skills, with the capability to present complex financial information in a concise and accessible manner for non-financial stakeholders.
