Our client is an organization in the Madison area looking for a Cost Accounting Manager. Our client is looking for someone with 5 years of experience, inventory cost experience and highly organized.
The Cost Accounting Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the development, maintenance, and accuracy of standard costs, Bills of Materials, and cost-related master data.
- Monitor and analyze manufacturing variances, material usage, labor efficiency, and overhead absorption.
- Conduct monthly cost reviews and identify drivers behind fluctuations or anomalies.
- Prepare cost estimates for new products, product changes, and process improvements.
- Oversee month-end close activities related to inventory, cost of goods sold (COGS), and variance analysis.
- Lead cycle count and physical inventory processes.
- Ensure inventory valuation is accurate and in compliance with accounting standards.
- Ad hoc projects as needed.
The Cost Accounting Manager will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or closely related field required.
- 5 years of accounting experience.
- Inventory costing experience highly preferred
- ERP system in Oracle experience preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
