Accounts Payable Clerk

We're looking for a detail-oriented, organized professional with strong accounting and communication skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment, to join our clients team in Algona, Wa. This is a great opportunity for someone with accounts payable experience who is looking for a stable, full-time position with a collaborative team and the chance to make an immediate impact. 

Compensation: $24-$26/HR

Schedule: 8 AM-4:30 PM

Location: Algona, WA

Responsibilities:

• Review, code, and process incoming vendor invoices (domestic and overseas suppliers)
• Perform 3-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receiving/warehouse documents
• Enter and reconcile invoices in the accounting/ERP system
• Prepare and process check runs, ACH, and wire payments
• Communicate with vendors and internal purchasing/warehouse staff to resolve discrepancies
• Maintain organized, audit-ready AP files and documentation
• Assist with month-end AP close, accruals, and aging reports
• Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payment status
• Support the accounting team with ad hoc administrative and clerical tasks as needed

Requirements:

• 1 years of accounts payable or general accounting/bookkeeping experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, basic reporting)
• Experience with accounting/ERP software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, or similar)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with numbers
• Solid organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for vendor and internal correspondence

Preferred:

• Experience in furniture, wholesale/import, or manufacturing industry AP
• Familiarity with purchase order/3-way matching processes in a warehouse setting
• Experience handling international vendor payments, freight/duty invoices, or multi-currency transactions
• Basic understanding of GAAP and general bookkeeping principles
