Plaintiff Personal Injury Trial Attorney (10 Years Experience)
Location: Port Washington, New York (Hybrid)
Compensation: $200,000 – $300,000 (commensurate with experience, plus performance-based incentives)
A nationally recognized plaintiff-side litigation firm is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Trial Attorney to assume a senior litigation role within its New York practice. The successful candidate will possess substantial experience handling complex personal injury matters and demonstrated capability in trial proceedings.
This position requires an attorney who can independently manage high-exposure cases through all phases of litigation, including trial.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of plaintiff personal injury matters from inception through resolution, including trial
- Serve as first-chair or second-chair trial counsel, as appropriate
- Conduct and defend depositions, including expert witnesses
- Draft and argue substantive motions, including dispositive motions
- Develop and execute case strategy, including coordination with experts and consultants
- Appear in state and federal courts, as required
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior attorneys and support staff
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
- Admission to the New York State Bar, in good standing
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in plaintiff personal injury litigation
- Demonstrated trial experience, including courtroom advocacy
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Experience handling catastrophic injury, medical malpractice, product liability, or similarly complex matters is preferred
