Trueline's client, a long-established heavy civil contractor specializing in excavation, grading, earthwork, and site preparation, is seeking a Safety Manager to join their team in the Omaha metro area. This field-based role will oversee safety across multiple local jobsites, support crews in daily safety practices, and help maintain a strong compliance-focused safety culture.
What You'll Do as the Safety Manager:
- Visit and support multiple active construction sites across the Omaha metro area
- Lead daily safety meetings, PTPs, stretching routines, and jobsite safety initiatives
- Monitor field activity for OSHA, company, and project-specific safety compliance
- Maintain accurate safety records, daily reports, and project documentation
- Partner with field leaders, supervisors, and project teams to address safety needs
- Support safe equipment operation, maintenance awareness, and hazard prevention
- Use Microsoft Office and safety documentation systems to track and report activity
Must-Haves as the Safety Manager:
- Construction safety experience
- OSHA 30 certification
- CHST certification or active progress toward certification
- Strong organization, communication, and follow-through
- Ability to manage multiple jobsites and shifting priorities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Valid driver's license and ability to meet company insurability requirements
- Ability to pass a background check and 10-panel drug screen
Nice-to-Haves as the Safety Manager:
- Heavy civil, excavation, grading, earthwork, or sitework safety experience
- Equipment operation or maintenance background
- Experience supporting field crews across multiple active jobsites
- Familiarity with safety documentation platforms
