Trueline's client, a nationally recognized Am Law 100 law firm with a strong presence across the U.S., is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join its downtown Los Angeles office. This role supports a busy toxic tort litigation practice and offers the opportunity to work closely with attorneys on complex matters from case inception through trial preparation in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Must have 5 years of experience in litigation, PREFERABLY in insurance defense and complex litigation
What You'll Do as the Litigation Paralegal:
- Support attorneys throughout all phases of litigation, including case management, discovery, and trial preparation
- Prepare, file, and manage court documents through ECF systems
- Maintain litigation calendars and monitor court deadlines
- Draft pleadings, notices, motions, subpoenas, and correspondence
- Conduct legal research using PACER, Westlaw, and other legal research platforms
- Organize and manage deposition materials, exhibits, and document productions
- Coordinate depositions, expert communications, and trial logistics
- Assist with discovery responses, document review, and case strategy preparation
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and third-party vendors
- Maintain organized case files and ensure accuracy across litigation materials
Must-Haves as the Litigation Paralegal:
- 5 years of litigation paralegal experience within a law firm environment
- Experience supporting toxic tort, product liability, or other complex litigation matters
- Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and court filing requirements
- Experience with ECF filing systems, PACER, and Westlaw
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines independently
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Nice-to-Haves as the Litigation Paralegal:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree
