Trueline's client, a national litigation firm, is seeking an Associate Attorney to join their team in General Liability and Insurance Defense. This remote position offers an excellent opportunity for attorneys to develop their litigation skills in a supportive environment while working on diverse cases.
What You'll Do as the Associate Attorney:
- Draft pleadings, written discovery, motions, and other litigation documents
- Conduct legal research and analyze complex legal issues
- Take and defend depositions
- Report to clients and insurance carriers
- Manage cases from inception through resolution or trial
- Participate in mediations and arbitrations
Must-Haves as the Associate Attorney:
- Active license to practice law in New York
- Minimum 3 years of experience in general liability/insurance defense litigation
- Excellent legal research, writing, and advocacy skills
- Strong multitasking and deadline management abilities
- Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills
- Proactive approach and willingness to take ownership of projects
Nice-To-Haves as the Associate Attorney:
- Dual licensure with PA, NJ, or another jurisdiction
- Experience handling mediations and arbitrations
- Familiarity with personal injury, recreation, venue liability, or professional liability cases
