Trueline's client, a well-established and highly respected personal injury law firm in Rhode Island, is seeking a Pre-Litigation Personal Injury Attorney to join their growing team in a hybrid work environment based in Rhode Island. What You'll Do as the Pre-Litigation Personal Injury Attorney:
Manage a caseload of plaintiff-side personal injury matters from initial consultation through pre-suit resolution
Investigate claims by gathering facts, reviewing records, and evaluating injuries and damages
Interview clients, witnesses, and experts to develop case strategy
Draft persuasive demand letters and negotiate settlements with insurance carriers and defense counsel
Evaluate liability, damages, and case value to recommend strategic approaches
Counsel clients on rights, risks, and settlement options
Coordinate with medical providers, experts, and vendors to support claim development
Maintain organized, compliant case files and documentation
Partner with litigation attorneys on matters that proceed to suit
Manage deadlines and caseload volume while delivering high-touch client service
Must-Haves as the Pre-Litigation Personal Injury Attorney:
JD from an accredited law school
Admission to the RI and/or MA bar
Experience handling personal injury matters, ideally in a pre-litigation capacity
Ability to independently manage a caseload
Strong negotiation and client communication skills
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical abilities
Team-first mindset with a commitment to ethical practice
Nice-to-Haves as the Pre-Litigation Personal Injury Attorney:
Plaintiff-side personal injury experience
Litigation experience
Experience drafting and negotiating demand letters and settlement agreements
Background on the insurance defense side with interest in transitioning to plaintiff work
