Trueline's client, a well-established employee-owned provider of cabinetry, countertops, and interior solutions, is seeking an Estimator to join their team in the Des Moines, IA area.
This is an excellent opportunity for a relationship-driven sales professional with a strong cabinetry background who enjoys working directly with homeowners, builders, and remodelers. The role combines consultative sales, estimating, project coordination, and client relationship management within a growing employee-owned organization.
What You'll Do as the Professional Sales Representative / Estimator:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with homeowners, builders, remodelers, and referral partners
- Guide clients through cabinetry, countertop, and interior product selections
- Prepare estimates, quotes, and proposals for residential projects
- Review project plans and specifications to ensure accurate pricing and product recommendations
- Follow up on open proposals and opportunities to drive sales growth
- Collaborate with design and operations teams to ensure successful project execution
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities throughout the territory
- Maintain a high level of customer service throughout the sales and project lifecycle
- Stay informed on product offerings, industry trends, and competitive market activity
- Manage multiple projects and client interactions simultaneously
Must-Haves as the Estimator:
- Proven sales experience within cabinetry, countertops, closets, kitchen and bath products, or similar home interior products
- Strong ability to build trust and maintain long-term client relationships
- Experience working directly with residential customers
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to manage estimates, proposals, and project details accurately
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally as needed
Nice-to-Haves as the Estimator:
- Experience reading and scaling residential blueprints
- Background in home design, kitchen and bath design, or interior space planning
- Existing relationships with builders, remodelers, contractors, or residential clients in the Des Moines market
- Established book of business that can generate opportunities quickly
- Experience with 2020 Design, Cyncly, ProKitchen, or similar design software is a plus!
