Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks across various facility areas, including floors, restrooms, lobbies, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and sanitizing tools.
• Handle chemical agents safely by following proper chemical handling safety procedures to ensure a secure environment for yourself and others.
• Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of supplies, furniture, and equipment while adhering to safe lifting practices to prevent injury.
• Maintain cleanliness of floors through buffing, polishing, and routine floor care procedures to uphold high standards of sanitation and appearance.
• Support facilities maintenance activities by reporting repair needs, assisting with minor repairs, and ensuring all cleaning equipment is operational and well-maintained.
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors with directions or inquiries while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Follow safety protocols diligently during all custodial tasks to promote a safe working environment for everyone on site.

Requirements

• Proven custodial or janitorial experience with a strong understanding of commercial or industrial cleaning processes.
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and other custodial tools.
• Knowledge of chemical agent handling safety procedures combined with experience in sanitation practices.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper manual handling techniques.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards staff and visitors.
• Prior experience in facilities maintenance or industrial cleaning is preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
