Line Cook

Job Title: Line Cook (ASAP)

Pay: $20.00–$25.00per hour (based on experience)

We are seeking an experienced Line Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate is organized, works efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and is comfortable working independently while maintaining high food quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, garnish, and plate menu items according to established recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines.
• Execute a variety of cooking techniques, including sautéing, grilling, frying, broiling, roasting, braising, baking, steaming, pan roasting, and finishing dishes to specification.
• Prepare and cook pizzas using commercial pizza ovens while maintaining consistency and quality.
• Set up and maintain an organized workstation with proper mise en place before, during, and after service.
• Manage an assigned station independently during service, ensuring timely and accurate execution of orders.
• Prioritize and coordinate multiple tickets while maintaining proper course timing and communication with the expo and kitchen team.
• Perform light food preparation, including chopping vegetables, preparing garnishes, portioning ingredients, stocking stations, and transporting supplies.
• Ensure recipe consistency, proper portion control, and accurate cooking temperatures for all menu items.
• Prepare proteins, vegetables, sauces, pasta, and other menu components according to restaurant standards.
• Accommodate special dietary requests and food allergy requirements while following established kitchen procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation throughout each shift and complete proper station closing procedures.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation regulations, including safe food handling, temperature control, allergen awareness, cross-contamination prevention, and FIFO inventory rotation.
• Operate commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including flat-top grills, charbroilers, fryers, convection ovens, salamanders, steamers, sous vide equipment, induction burners, commercial ranges, pizza ovens, pasta machines, and temperature probes.
• Work efficiently during high-volume service while maintaining speed, accuracy, and exceptional food quality.
• Support kitchen operations by restocking ingredients and assisting teammates as needed.

Requirements:

• Previous 3-4 years of line cook experience required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Open availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, is required.

Compensation & Benefits:

• $21.00–$26.00 per hour, depending on experience.
• Opportunity to work in a dynamic rooftop dining environment.
