Job Title: Tooling Journeyperson (2nd Shift) | Aerospace & Medical Manufacturing
Location: Farmington, Connecticut- On-site
Shift: 2nd Shift (2:30 PM - 11:00 PM)
About the Role:

We are seeking a CT-approved Journeyperson to take charge of complex tooling setup, troubleshooting, and fabrication for our progressive stamping and four-slide production departments. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform precision setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of production tooling and stamping equipment (60T-330T).
- Fabricate tools, components, fixtures, and gauges to support production needs.
- Lead first-piece quality submissions and maintain accurate tool history documentation.
- Collaborate with the New Tool Group to seamlessly introduce new tooling into production.
- Serve as a technical resource, assisting with problem-solving and training apprentices.
- Uphold and champion strict safety, quality (ISO13485 & AS9100), and lean manufacturing standards (5S, Kaizen, SMED).
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- CT-approved Journeyperson with a minimum of 5 years of experience in tooling fabrication and troubleshooting.
- Proven background in progressive stamping within automatic power press environments.
- Technically proficient with the ability to read blueprints, GD&T, and use statistical process control.
- Experienced and comfortable working under aerospace (AS9100) and medical (ISO13485) quality standards.
- A self-starter with a strong work ethic, knowledge of lean principles, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Skilled in operating material handling equipment (forklifts, overhead cranes).
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Completion of a state-approved apprenticeship program.
- 5 years of hands-on experience in a precision metal stamping production environment.
- Working knowledge of Wintress Control and Fein Blank is a plus.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs and perform physical tasks including stooping and bending.
- Willingness to work necessary overtime to support business needs.
