What are the responsibilities and job description for the Power Press Setup/Operator position at Lyons Tool & Die Company?
Seeking an experienced Power Press Setup / Operator to perform activities related to the set-up and operation of progressive, compound, and secondary stamping dies. 3-5 years experience with the following are required:
*Completes die set-ups for production in accordance with Work Order.
*Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
*Operates all standard press room machinery including peripheral press equipment and production support equipment.
*Works with toolmakers to troubleshoot stamping problems related to slug pulling, misfeeds, scrap build up and segregation, part ejection, and product dimensional nonconformance.
*Programs Wintriss SmartPac’s, Servo Feeds and Tonnage Monitors. Familiarity with Sensor Technology preferred.
*Inspects parts, prior to submitting first piece to QA, for visual defects and confirmation that part meets print dimensions.
