Position Overview
The Bilingual Advocate provides direct client services through both short- and long-term case management, court accompaniment, and resource navigation. This position also supports administrative operations and provides interpretation and translation services to ensure equitable access to programs and support. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism and a strong commitment to serving the Latine community.
Key Responsibilities
· Deliver client-centered and trauma-informed case management services, including intake, needs assessment and follow-up support.
· Provide court accompaniment and advocacy during legal and administrative proceedings.
· Maintain accurate, confidential client documentation in accordance with organizational policies.
· Collaborate with internal staff and external partners to facilitate referrals and coordinate services.
· Assist with administrative support, including data entry, reporting and communication with clients and partner organizations.
· Provide bilingual interpretation and translation (Spanish/English) for clients.
· Participate in outreach, community education and organizational initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
· Fluency in English and Spanish (required).
· Minimum of one year experience in social services, advocacy, or related field preferred.
· Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and lived experiences.
· Strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain professional boundaries.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, case management systems, or equivalent software.
