The Staff Accountant position offers a comprehensive experience in all aspects of accounting. As part of a collaborative team, the Staff Accountant will be responsible for maintaining the accounting records of offices, ensuring reconciliation with Trucordia standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reporting financial information, providing timely, accurate, and useful information to management for review and decision making
- Working with Principles to communicate and manage financial goals/deadlines for month-end processes
- Performing full balance sheet reconciliation, including substantiation, for monthly close work papers
- Consolidating multi-company financial statements with variance analysis
- Supporting other accounting staff in the creation of annual audits
- Leading staff and junior accountants to ensure deadlines are met
- Interpreting data and identifying trends to influence projects
- Performing revenue reconciliation to carrier and client agreements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or 1-3 years of experience in a related field
- Experience with:
- General ledger reconciliations
- Accounts payable/receivable
- Month-end and year-end closing processes
- Journal entries
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, basic formulas)
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare standard financial reports
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good time management and ability to meet deadlines
- Problem-solving skills and analytical thinking
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High level of integrity and confidentiality
