As their Staff Accountant, youll track costs, ensure accuracy across projects, and support leadership with clear reporting. This role offers the opportunity to grow into higher-level positions as the company continues to expandperfect for someone looking to build their career in a collaborative, values-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform full-cycle accounts payable and receivable functions
- Track project budgets, job costs, and WIP (Work-in-Progress)
- Prepare, review, and process vendor invoices and subcontractor payments
- Support draw schedules and payment applications
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate coding of project transactions
- Coordinate with an external CPA for tax filings and audit prep
- Support payroll processes in collaboration with leadership or a provider
- Prepare monthly project reports and support financial decision-making
- Maintain accurate records in QuickBooks Desktop and/or Online
- Provide administrative and accounting support across project teams
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in construction, real estate, or project-based accounting
- Full-charge bookkeeping or general ledger accounting experience
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and/or QuickBooks Online
- Strong understanding of project costing, budgeting, and WIP tracking
- Highly organized with strong time management skills
- Comfortable working onsite and collaborating closely with leadership
